ABOUT GIPAC
|
GIPAC is the political action committee (PAC) for clinical gastroenterologists and gastrointestinal (GI) specialists. We are a bipartisan federal PAC that supports legislators demonstrating an interest in the issues and challenges facing our practices and patients. It is important to note that GIPAC is an issue-specific PAC: While our members may have diverse political opinions, we agree that it is necessary to support those willing to champion the legislative causes important to our profession.
GIPAC is always looking to be involved in a federal campaign. If you wish to have GIPAC support a member of Congress, or candidate for federal office, please contact GIPAC leadership.

HELP CLINICAL GASTROENTEROLOGY GET A SEAT AT THE TABLE
|
Congress and the Federal Government are under pressure to reduce the national deficit and growth of entitlement spending, with Medicare a likely target of cuts. As a result, physician reimbursement and specialty medicine face an ongoing threat of the chopping block, pitting medical specialty against each other to protect their share of a shrinking pie. Each time these issues come up before Congress, GIPAC must have the inside-access necessary to represent your voice and interests and protect clinical gastroenterology.
We have made tremendous strides advocating our issues to legislators. As of June 1, 2011 we have $83,099.03 on hand. However, clinical GI must compete with the larger PACs of medical societies and other organizations. Please continue to help make GIPAC a stronger voice on Capitol Hill.
GIPAC is thankful for your contributions and support.
