ABOUT GIPAC

GIPAC is the political action committee (PAC) for gastroenterologists. We are a bipartisan federal PAC that supports legislators demonstrating an interest in the issues and challenges facing gastrointestinal specialists and their patients. GIPAC also targets campaigns that are expected to be in competitive races as well as campaigns recommended by GIPAC members. It is important to note that GIPAC is an issue-specific PAC: While our members may have diverse political opinions, we agree that it is important to support certain candidates who will help champion those issues important to our profession.

GIPAC is always looking to be involved in a campaign. If you wish to have GIPAC support a member of Congress or candidate for federal office, please contact GIPAC leadership.

EVENT FOR REP. CHARLES GONZALEZ

GIPAC invites you to participate in a “Meet & Greet with Rep. Charles Gonzalez” on Sunday, October 17, 2010. This event will take place in San Antonio during the American College of Gastroenterology’s Annual Scientific Meeting and Postgraduate Course.

Rep. Gonzalez has supported clinical gastroenterology by cosponsoring legislation to increase Medicare reimbursement for colorectal cancer screening and sits on the powerful House Committee on Energy & Commerce Subcommittee on Health. He has been representing residents of San Antonio and the 20th congressional district of Texas since 1999, replacing his father Henry B. Gonzalez who held this seat from 1961-1998.

Rep. Gonzalez will be there to hear from you and to learn more about the issues impacting clinical GI. He will also be providing insight into the upcoming elections and political landscape in Washington D.C. Most importantly, this event provides an opportunity to develop a close relationship with Rep. Gonzalez and his staff for next Congress and beyond.

Please participate in this event for Rep. Charles Gonzalez. For more information, please click on the following link:
