Since 1976, the employee-funded Reynolds Political Action Committee (PAC) has supported candidates whose views are similar to ours – as demonstrated by position statements and/or voting records – on matters that affect our businesses.

Federal law prohibits soliciting contributions outside the restricted class and such contributions will be returned.

Participation in the Reynolds Political Action Committee (Reynolds American PAC) is voluntary. Eligible employees can refuse to participate without reprisal. Contributions are used to support state and federal political candidates and committees. Any proposed contribution level is merely a suggestion; members can contribute at any level they deem appropriate (up to $5,000 per calendar year per federal law), or not at all. Contributions to the Reynolds American PAC are not tax deductible. Federal and state laws require political action committees to report the name, mailing address, occupation and name of employer for everyone whose contributions exceed $200 in the calendar year.
